Frances Beatrice "Bea" Boggess, 75, of Charleston, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2009, at her home.
She was a graduate of Dunbar High School and worked in food service most of her adult life, having retired as a cook from the WV Rehabilitation Center.
She was preceded in death by her father, Pearl Saunders; mother and step-father, Rosie Mae and Shirley Hedrick, her brother, Hansford Saunders and sister, Geneva Vakaro.
Surviving are her sons, Mike McLaughlin and his wife, Sandra of Alkol and Steve McLaughlin and his wife, Becky of Clendenin; daughter, Jean Ann Meeks and her husband, Jim of Charleston; brother, Frank Saunders and his wife, Shirley of Bluefield, Va; sister, Betty Lachowicz and her husband, Bob of Hammond, IN. Also surviving are grandchildren, Jimmy Meeks and his wife, Dana of Hurricane, Justin Meeks of Charleston, Matthew McLaughlin of Clendenin, Kaela Vickers of Ripley and Deidra Nue of Hurricane; great granddaughters, Lillian Meeks of Hurricane and Isabella King of Ripley and great grandson, Alec Nue of Hurricane.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 23, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. James Phillips officiating. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
