Frances Elizabeth Moffatt, 95, of St. Albans, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2008 in Valley Center, South Charleston.
Born July 12, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth McCoy Hammack Cummings of Walton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Benjamin Moffatt; son, Malcolm Moffatt; grandson, Craig Moffatt; granddaughter, Lisa Bradshaw Theeke; half-brother, Clairmont Cummings.
Mrs. Moffatt is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Virginia Moffatt of Dunbar; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Tom Bradshaw of Chapmanville, Dianne and Jim Mahaney of Clendenin; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; half-brothers, Thair and Clair Cummings.
A special thank you is extended to her former sister-in-law, Marie Hinkle of Clendenin, for her loving assistance in caring for Mrs. Moffatt prior to her residency at Valley Center. The family also extends their appreciation to the staff at Valley Center for their tender care and attention to their mother.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Dr. Okey B. Harless officiating. Burial will follow in Cummings Cemetery, near Walton.
