Frances J. Skeens Humphreys, 91, of Dunbar, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 8, 2026, her family by her side
after a short illness.

Frances was born in Kentuck, West Virginia, a daughter of the late James Harvey and Pearl Kerns Skeens.

She graduated from Sissonville High School in 1952.  After graduating, she worked for Greyhound's regional office in Charleston, WV.  Frances married Lloyd S. Humphreys on November 5, 1954.  They moved to Dunbar, WV in 1968 where they raised their four children together until his passing in 1989.  She attended Dunbar Mountain Mission Church.  She also loved traveling with her friends and family.  Frances was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Debby Smith (Randy) of Charleston; daughter, Terry Temple (Larry) of Plano, TX; daughter, Valerie Keiffer (Ed) of Centerville, OH; and son, Stephen Humphreys (Shelley) of Scott Depot, WV; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; along with a brother, Dorman Skeens of Clendenin, WV

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.  Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Family will welcome visitors one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
