Frances Elizabeth Wiggins, 91, of Dunbar, West Virginia, passed away after battling a long illness. She was born to the late Jack and Luvenia Hankins of Charleston, WV.

Frances was a devoted wife to her husband, William E. Wiggins of 55 years and a loving mother to her seven children, who meant the world to her. Her life revolved around her kids and kids' friends, who she became "Mama Wiggins" to many. She was a stay-at-home mom who loved to cook and take care of her family. She loved to travel as well as dancing the night away with her husband.

Frances was an avid reader; she spent her past time reading books. She was also an avid church goer; traveling all over to visit many churches. She got saved at an early age at Riverview Baptist Church and later became a Deaconess.

Her life was filled with purpose, character, presence and grace. She was the Matriarch of her family, and everyone adored her.

Along with her parents, Frances was proceeded in death by her husband, William Wiggins; her son, Gary Chambers; brothers, Lee Hankins, Howard Hankins, and James Hankins; and sisters, Lorraine Hankins, Rita Hankins and Mary Hankins Haynes.

She is survived by her loving children, Ezra Chambers (Lisa) of Hurricane, Timmy Chambers (Sophia) of Kentucky, Wendy Chambers and Reggie Wiggins of Dunbar, Angela Franklin (Winfield) of Ohio, Tammy Wiggins of Dunbar; brother, Spurgeon Hankins (Marty) of Charleston; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, July 28, at Ferguson Baptist Church, Dunbar, with Evangelist Jessica Canty officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Ferguson Baptist Church, Dunbar.
