Fred R. Harless, 92, of Dunbar, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012.

Fred was the fifth of ten children born to, the late L.B. and Belva Brown Harless.

He moved to Dunbar with his parents as a teenager and lived there all his life except for time served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a carpenter and well known for his excellent work.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Lovejoy Harless; daughter, Judy Combs; son, Fred Harless, Jr.; brothers, George, John, and L.B Harless, Jr.; sister, Lois Whitenack.

Mr. Harless is survived by his grandsons, Joe Boling, John Boling both of Salt Lake City, UT, Barry Boling; great grandson, Nick Boling of Saltlake City, UT; brothers, James H. Harless of Charleston, Charles O. Harless of St. Albans; sisters, Marie Brogan of Dunbar, Dorothy Fields of Charleston, Lydia Ludwig of Ripley; son-in-law, Joe Combs of Dunbar; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Monday, March 19, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with his nephew, Todd Harless officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
