Fred M. Smith's Obituary
Fred M. Smith, 42, of South Charleston, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2006, in Hubbard Hospice House of pancreatic cancer.
Born October 12, 1963, he grew up in South Charleston, and worked for 18 plus years for Schultz Carpet Service. Fred loved fishing and hunting, if you were ever looking for him, he could be found at the lake, the river, or in the woods. His greatest love was his two daughters.
His father, Don Smith, preceded him in death.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Shannon, and their two daughters, Kimberly and Emily; stepsons, Chris Wiltrout of Cleveland, OH, Philip "Flip" Thomas of WV; parents, Barbara and Charles Jeffries of St. Albans; brothers and sisters-in-law, Justin and Pat Smith of South Charleston, Bill and Sharon Smith of South Charleston, Doug Smith of South Charleston; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Randy Midkiff of South Charleston, Priscilla and Wilbur Baire of Scott Depot. His family would like to give special mention to Judy, his second "mom", and Dewey Schultz; his mother-in-law, Kathleen Milbee, and his dear friend and co-worker, Richard Khoury.
The family would like to acknowledge his neighbors as very special friends. He leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews who loved their uncle Fred.
Special thanks to Hubbard Hospice House for the care he received during his courageous battle with cancer.
Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 19, 2006, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Dwayne Chappell officiating. Burial will follow in Schultz Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 18, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
