Freda Williamson, 82, of Dunbar, left this world to be with the Lord on February 22, 2015 after a very long hard battle with cancer. She passed at home with her loving family by her side. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
She was a faithful member of Marmet Community Church. She was retired from Shoney's.
Freda was preceded in death by her grandson, Nathan Morganroth; sisters, Jean Allen and Thelma Akers; brothers, Homer, Jack, Tex and Bob Baldwin; parents, Demmie and Mollie Baldwin.
She is survived by her longtime companion, Fred Burleson; son, Ed Payne of Iowa, daughter, Sandy Eld and her husband, Ted, of Iowa, Nancy Payne and her boyfriend, Greg Wolfe, of Cross Lanes; grandchildren, Angela Jones and her husband, Casey, of Charleston, John Vannatter and his wife, Cassie, of Dunbar, Nick, Natalie and Jared Payne of Iowa, and Genna Morganroth of Cross Lanes; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Casey, Thomas, Kenzie and Haylee; nieces, Diana Landis and her husband, Sam, of St. Albans and their children, Josh and Stacy, Cathy Newman and her husband, Paul, of Poca and their daughter, Jennifer; and numerous other family members whom she loved.
The family would like to thank HospiceCare for their assistance in making the last days for Freda and her family as comfortable as possible. They would also like to especially thank Isabel RN for her attentiveness and compassion during this time of loss.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Brother Stanley Konkle officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
