Frederick W. Holland's Obituary
Mr. Frederick W. Holland, 86, of Dunbar, died on Monday, May 12, 2008 at Hubbard Hospice House of Charleston after a long illness.
He was born March 17, 1922 in Linden, WV and was the son of the late James Noah and Artie Ferrell Holland. He was also preceded in death by two brothers; Maxwell of St. Albans and Leland of Linden.
He was a retired chemical operator with 35 years service at Union Carbide, South Charleston. He was also a United States Army veteran who fought for his country in Europe in World War II. Fred enjoyed fishing, camping and anything else related to the outdoors.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Gladys "Lillian" Holland and one son James and his fiancée, Judy Foster and her son Warren Hypes of Mercer County, WV.
The family would like to thank Hubbard Hospice House for the care of Frederick while he was in their care.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with the Rev. Dr. Okey B. Harless, Jr. officiating and burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
Friends may call 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311.
