Frederick Ralph Lyon's Obituary
Frederick Ralph "Rick" Lyon II, 71, of St. Albans, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 11, 2016.
Rick was born June 18, 1944 in Wheeling, to the late Frederick I and Mildred Lyon.
He retired from Kanawha County schools where he taught math at Nitro, DuPont and St. Albans high schools. He also taught at UC and WV State College. He was a former president of the teacher's union.
Rick was very much loved by his family and will be dearly missed. He was a great dad and wonderful provider for his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his soulmate, Patricia Lyon.
Rick is survived by his daughter; Susie Jarrell and husband, Bob, of St. Albans; and son, Fred Lyon III of St. Albans.
The funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Terry Hogue officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
