Fredrick J. Slaymaker's Obituary
Fredrick J. Slaymaker, 75, of Dunbar, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the Hubbard Hospice House after a long illness.
He was born in Sands Springs, OK and was a US Navy veteran. Fred was a graduate of Dunbar High School and attended WV State College. He was a retired barber and construction worker and served as a Councilman for the City of Dunbar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Lena Gable Slaymaker.
Surviving are his loving wife, Margaret; daughter, Freda Louise; son, Allen and his wife, Jeanie; granddaughter, Jessica Daniels and her husband, Wesley; great grandson, Cody; and step-son, David Allen.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Greg Hudson officiating.
