Gary Lee Cavender, 66, of Dunbar, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019.

He was born on April 20, 1953 in Charleston, to the late Lester and Grace Cavender.

Gary was a baseball fan and a super fan of the New York Yankees and the West Virginia Mountaineers. He was heavily involved in the Dunbar Little League for several years. He was employed at Advance Auto in South Charleston for many years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Cavender.

He is survived by his daughter, Ashley (Kevin) of Charleston; son, Nicholas (Amanda) of Dunbar; grandson, Finn; brother, Michael (Nancy) of Hebron, CT; and many beloved family and friends.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at CAMC Memorial CPICU for all their loving care.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor David Keeney officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
