Obituary

Gary Pierce Cole 63 of St. Albans, departed this life unexpectedly on Sunday, February 19, 2006.

Gary was born April 13,1942, in Charleston a son of Mildred and the late Woodrow Cole. He is also proceeded in death by two brothers Artie and Keith Cole.

Gary served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1964. He was a former coal miner and member of painters union of Charleston.

He enjoyed Bluegrass music, hunting, fishing, boating, camping with family and friends.

He is survived by his longtime companion Judy McGee of South Charleston, Mother Mildred Cole of South Charleston, brothers Clifton "Tinker" and Woody Cole both of Charleston, sisters Phillis and Mona. June (Cole) Harper mother of children, Son Gary Dennis Cole of Hico, Daughters and son-in-laws Sylvia and Wayne Carte, June Elizabeth and Carey Martin, Bonnie Kirby all of Hico and Fayetteville. Six grandchildren Michael Lee Cole, Bobby, Karri, and Samantha Martin, Christina and Cody Kirby. As well as great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Gary will be sadly missed by all who loved him.

Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at Upton Creek Community Church, with Rev. Juanita Eads officiating.

Friends may call one hour prior to service at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be given to the Upton Creek Community Church 810 Avesta Drive, St. Albans WV 25177.
