Genevieve Gibson McKinney (AKA Memaw and Grandma), 94, passed away on February 17, 2018.

Born August 31, 1923 passed this way on her journey to Heaven.

She met the true love of her life, Paul McKinney, and they were married on March 10, 1946 after Paul's discharge from the Navy. From the love of this couple, three wonderful children were born.

Genevieve was saved in 1948 at a tent revival. She loved all her pastors and considered them family. She attended Roxalana Gospel Tabernacle for over 60 years. She lived a happy Christian life and will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Goldie Gibson; a sister, Betty Walters; a brother, Harold Gibson; granddaughter, Kelly Smith; and beloved son, Tim McKinney.

She leaves behind daughters, Paula Casto (Clovis Dexter Jr.), Linda Freeman (Ronnie); three grandchildren, Michelle Mayhew (Brian), Michael Chapman (Karma), and Shelly Douglas (Johnny); and four great grandchildren, Emily Bush (Khalil), Rachel Chapman, and twins Adam and Andrew Guthrie (Andrew lived with her); and one great-great-grandchild, Sophia Marie Bush.

A special loving tribute to Pastor Al Mendez and his wife, Rosalie who have been special to our family down through the years.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday February 21, 2018 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Tom Price officiating, assisted by Rev Jim Phillips and Rev Al Mendez.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
