Obituary

George Andrew Carey, 80, of Dunbar, died on Friday, January 27, 2006, at his home after an extended illness.

He was born October 8, 1925, and lived his childhood in Cabin Creek and South Charleston. He was a graduate of South Charleston High School.

He was the retired president and owner of Plastic Sales Corporation. He was an avid camper and a member of the Good Sam and Pitch and Pull camping clubs. He was a member of the Dunbar Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Lucas Carey.

Mr. Carey is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Dye, and her husband, David of Clendenin; sons, Michael Carey, and his wife Connie of Lavalette and Andrew Carey, and his wife Diane of Cross Lanes; seven grandchildren, Zachary and Emily Dye, Max, Luke and Nichole Carey, and Rachel and Lauren Carey.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 27 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Minister Donnie J. Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, January 29, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
