George "Mel" Gibson, 64, of Charleston went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2022.

He was employed by Charleston Job Corp. George truly loved his job and the people that he worked with. He was a member of Holley Memorial Baptist Church in Spring Hill.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Helen Gibson; parents, George and Zola Gibson; brothers, Teddy and Roy Gibson.

George is survived by his sister, Rosetta Gibson; brothers, Charles, James "Mike", David, and Riley Gibson; and by a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Rev. Lee Hamrick and Rev. Donald Fleck officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
