Obituary

George Howary "Harry" Hall died Dec. 7, 2006 after a short illness.

He was born on October 11, 1911. George retired from the Dupont plant in Belle and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Chelyan. He was of the Baptist faith. He acquired his ham operator license at a "young" age of 79 years of age and was known on the CB radio as "Salty Dog."

Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Cleova Finch Hall, after 70 years of marriage. They have three children and spouses: Pastor George and Ruth Hall of Worthington, Pa, Marvin and Maxine Hall Smith of Dunbar and David and Beverly Hall Grigsby of Winfield. They also have eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with his grandson, Matthew Hall, a missionary to Papua New Guinea, officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 8, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
