George "David" Mitchell Jr., 54 of Sissonville, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026.

David was a loving father and friend whose humor and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He had a natural ability to make people laugh and feel at ease, and his warm spirit could brighten even the hardest days.

He loved the outdoors and found peace in nature where he felt most at home. Whether enjoying fresh air or simply being outside, those moments reflected his appreciation for life's simple joys.

David is preceded in death by his parents, George David Mitchell Sr., and
Betty Arlene Mitchell; and his loving nephew, Michael Alan Atkinson, II.

David is survived by his devoted fiancé, Kimberly Waite; his daughters Tiffany Marie Truslow and Savanna Wade Mitchell; and his son Cody Lynn Tucker. He was a proud and loving father, grandpa, brother, and uncle, who deeply cherished his children and family.

He will be remembered for his funny personality, kind heart, and the love he shared so freely. Though he is gone, his memory will live on in the laughter he inspired and the love he leaves behind in the hearts of those who knew him.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 16, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Friends may visit two hours prior the the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
