Georgia Rowe Adams, born, September 24, 1914, passed away at her home, Monday morning, December 17, 2007, after a long illness.
Georgia was a homeroom mother and Cub Scout leader. Prior to her marriage she worked at Koury's Sweet Shop in Charleston and Evans Super Market in St. Albans. She served four terms as president of the Kenna Homes Community Club. Georgia was a Christian and worshipped with the congregation at the Dunbar First Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Adams, her son, Harold Joe Adams, her granddaughter, Laura Ann Pauley, parents, Andrew Jackson and Bertie Whitt Rowe, brother, Harold Andrew Rowe and sisters, Jessie Webb and Lena M. Robinson.
Surviving are her children, Roberta Sue Pauley and her husband, Clifford, Letitia Basham, Lola Jane Adams and her husband, Leo Bush and Lois June Sayre; daughter-in-law, Sue Adams; sister, Ada Scott; special niece, Laura Greene. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 20, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Dr. Larry McCallister, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park.
