Georgiana "Gee"
Virginia Faucett
July 7, 1965 – August 9, 2023
Georgiana "Gee" Virginia Faucett, 58, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
Gee, born in Charleston on July 7, 1965, was the youngest of nine children born to the late Charles and Mamie Faucett. At a young age she and her family moved to New York where she graduated from Roosevelt Jr/Sr High School in 1983.
She worked as a cook at Ms. Shelly's Private School, and TGI Fridays. Gee had a love for cooking, having a good time, and spending time with her family. She had joined a Baptist Church in Bellmore, NY, and loved attending church on Sundays. Gee had a way with words, and loved to make you laugh.
In addition to her parents, Gee was preceded in death by her siblings, Vivian, Gregory, and Donald Faucett.
Gee's memory will be cherished by her daughters, Barkia Goodwine, Ebony Goodwine, and Nyara Faucett of Charleston; her son, Shapeace Goodwine of Roosevelt, New York; eight grandchildren, Joshua Holland, Kyan Goodwine, Khloee McNeely, Aaliya Moore, Ayanna Moore, Marquis Moore Jr, Keon McNeely, and Kaylee McNeely; sisters, Marilyn Harris and Carolyn Harris of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Eugene Argo (Veronica) of Columbia, SC, Charles and Andrew Faucett of Roosevelt, NY; brother-in-law, Wayne "Jeff" Sunderland of Hempstead, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Gee was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, cousin, and friend.
Georgiana Virginia Faucett was not just a mother, but she was a dear friend to us all, and we can't begin to say how much she will be missed. "Mama, we love you so much. Rest well until we see you again."
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, August 25 at New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend James Ealy officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston.
Family will receive friends two hours prior to service at the Church.
Arrangements are in care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
