Gerald Malcombe Wood, 80 of South Charleston passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018.

Gerald was born on December 4, 1937. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America throughout his teenage years and a member of the Air National Guard. He was also very involved in archery for many years, becoming the state champion in his class several times over.

After his retirement he enjoyed working outside on his house and yard. He indulged his appreciation of antique cars by attending many car shows in the area.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Holly and Sarah Wood and Ruth Kinder Stonestreet and Hubert Stonestreet; and his brother Butch Stonestreet.

He is survived by his daughter, Theresa Mollohan and husband Mike of South Charleston; son, Gerald Lee Wood of Tornado; Stepson Douglas Sharp and wife Tammy of Nitro; stepdaughter, Dianna Knight and husband Wayne of Georgia; sister Cordie Stonestreet of Ohio; grandchildren, Stephanie Mollohan and husband Karl Goldstrohm, Chasity Estep, Devon Hoffman, Ryan Farley and wife Stacey, Austin Wood and Courtney Thomas; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many close and far away cousins. Gerald is also survived by friend and former wife, Georgia Hess.

Family and friends will gather from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 11 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
