Geraldine (Jerry) Thompson Schwarz, died peacefully at her home in Okatie, SC on January 6th after a brief illness.
Born and raised in Charleston, Jerry is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard Schwarz, as well as her four children Jeff Schwarz, Lori Stagnitto, James Schwarz, and Amy Schwarz, as well as her brothers Cameron and Frank Thompson.
Jerry is predeceased by her parents, French Thompson and Juanita Dunlap Thompson, as well as a sister Jean and brother Jack.
Jerry was a passionate homemaker who loved to cook and collect beautiful things on her travels over the years. She also had a remarkable green thumb especially in her extensive gardens, often featured on garden tours and in newspaper articles.
Jerry cherished the many years she spent living in West Virginia, Sweden, and New Jersey raising her children and meeting many interesting people and friends that she thought of often.
