Gilmore Gene Rhodes' Obituary
Gilmore Gene Rhodes, 86, of South Charleston, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Thomas Memorial Hospital.
He was a retired welder with Union Carbide and was a US Marine Corps veteran of WW II. Mr. Rhodes was a very private person and a homebody.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Alan Rhodes, one brother, Dewey Rhodes and two sisters, Minnie Bell Erwin and Dora Catherine Lowers.
Surviving are his wife, Alma Rhodes, son, Dennis Rhodes of South Charleston; sisters, Deloras Neal of Vacaville, CA and Ruth Ann Rhodes of Thornburg, Va.
It was Mr. Rhodes desire that there be no visitation and services will be private. The family requests that there be no flowers.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
