Obituary

Glada Berdeihl Cox Uhlman, 95, of South Charleston passed away at her home on Friday, January 15, 2016.

Glada is the daughter of the late Joe and Bessie Canterbury Cox. She was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star, a Past Royal Matron to Amaranth, and was a Worthy High Priestess of the White Shrine of Jerusalem. Glada was the owner and operator of Uhlman's Ceramics for over 20 years, where she received several awards in various categories of ceramics.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Uhlman; sisters, Chlora McGough, Floda Hawkins, Ida Ray; and brother, Freeman Cox.

Glada is survived by several generations of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, January 18 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Herman Jones officiating. Burial will be held on Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Park.

Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
