Glendine Grey Martin of Dunbar, passed away July 26, 2006.
She was born in Richwood, WV in 1928 and was a graduate of Richwood High School, moving to Dunbar in 1945. Glendine was a member of Starcher Baptist Church in North Charleston.
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Cecil Lyttle.
She was employed by the Bank of Dunbar, Gravely Tractor of Dunbar and Mountain State Blue Cross-Blue Shield of West Virginia, retiring in 1989 after 21 years of service.
Surviving are her cousins, Don and Susan Chapman of Sheffield Lake, Ohio, James and Olive Hanna of Craigsville, WV, Millie Schutte of Davidsonville, MD and cousins of the Brown families.
Glendine enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafting and taking care of flowers. She dearly loved cats and was well known for her cat pins and cat earrings. She loved all shades of blue and used them throughout her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 29, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Mark A. Jarrell and the Rev. Tom Moore officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. at the Alderson Baptist Church Cemetery near Craigsville, WV with the Rev. Mark A. Jarrell officiating.
