Goble G. Mundy,Jr., 91, of Cross Lanes, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Thomas Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
He was a master electrician with IBEW Local #466 and was a US Army veteran of WW II. Goble was a Baptist and a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Mary Mundy, brother, Hank Mundy and sister, Mary E. Mundy.
Surviving are his loving wife, Carolyn; sons, Dana Mundy and his wife, Linda of Winfield and James Vannatter, III and his wife, Trena of Nitro; daughters, Sandra Mundy of Hurricane and Jennifer Santmyer and her husband, Bob of Cross Lanes; sister, Jackie Mundy of New Jersey; granddaughters, Belinda and Kassie; great granddaughters, Jayda and Zaria; grandsons, Kyle and Phillip; great grandson, Bryce. He is also survived by his beloved pet, Capitola and many special friends. Goble was a loving husband and father.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Sherry Withrow officiating. Entombment with military rites will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
