Obituary

Goldie Marie Starcher, 92, of South Charleston went home to be with the Lord on January 22, 2015.

She was an active member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church for many years.

Born July 5, 1922 in Belleview, WV. She was the daughter of the late James Monroe Whited and Myrtle Oshel Casto Whited. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 73years, Clyde Starcher; brothers, Delbert, Herbert, and Dana; sisters, Ruby Rardon, and Mary Hunter; and son, Clyde Eugene Starcher.

She is survived by her son, Roger (Jeannie) Starcher; daughter-in-law, Roberta Skiles; grandchildren, David (Brenda) Starcher, Steve (Paula) Starcher, Melissa Skiles, Roger Lee II Starcher (Magda), Rodney (Nicky) Starcher, and Maureen Starcher; great-grandchildren, Justin, Chelsea, Savanah, Kayla, Timmy, Brandon, Josh, Olivia, Amelia, Brayden, Jillian and Liliana; great-great grandchild, Jeffery; and nephew, John-Paul (Charmine) Starcher. She is also survived by sisters; Ruth McCallister, Myrtle Casto, and Annie Randolph.

The family would like to thank Nurse Adam Marshall and Neah Hamrick for their care, the staff at Thomas Hospital and Dr. Khan and his staff for their special attention.

A Celebration of Goldie's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 29, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, South Charleston with Pastor Steve White officiating. Burial will follow in Fairplain Cemetery, Fairplain.

Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
