Obituary

Gregory Brown peacefully passed away at his home on Saturday, September 23, 2023 after a long illness.

He was born in Charleston to Okey and loma Brown whom he dearly loved. If you asked Greg, his greatest accomplishment was not graduating from WVU in 1974 or his career in sales, it was being a generous husband and father. When he fell in love with his wife
Diana, that love grew to include her daughter, son, grandchildren, and family. Greg was an avid sportsman and loyal Mountaineer fan who enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling with his beloved wife, and spending time with his family, friends, and dogs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Diana Brown and siblings, Norma Steimle and Deborah Knowles.

Greg is survived by his daughter, Leigh Ann Maxwell (Charles Scott) of Dunbar; son, Charles C. Rent of Charleston; grandsons, Jacob Maxwell of Dunbar and Caleb Maxwell of St. Albans; sister, Sue Michaels of Florida; nieces, Shannon and Cassie Steimle of Florida; and many loving cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Tom Price
officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Greg's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Teresa Pring and the staff at Hospice for all of their compassionate care.
