Grova M. Cottrill Harrison, of Dunbar, formerly of Winfield, passed away at Sun Health Care Center in Dunbar on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, after a short illness.
Grova was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Howard E. Harrison, her parents, George A. Cottrill and Nora G. Ferguson Cottrill, brother, Otis Cottrill, sister, Geraldine E. Ray, half sisters, Opal Lett, Lola Bennett and Haida Hartley, half brothers, Van Lett, Arthur Cottrill and Frank Cottrill.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William "Bill" and Sandra Harrison of Charlotte Hall, Md; grandson and wife, Marc and Helen Harrison of Oakland, CA; granddaughters, Debra and husband Tim Bernard of Waldorf, Md and Nicole and Scott Hunter of LaPlata, Md; great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Samuel Harrison, Alexis and Austin Bernard and Jackson Hunter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by many who loved her.
Mrs. Harrison retired from FMC with 30 years of service as a lab technician and resided in Winfield for over 30 years.
The family would like to thank her niece, Mrs. Pame Lemon of Cross Lanes for her friendship and care during her last years.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 15, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 16, at the Cunningham Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, St. Albans, with Minister Walter Carter officiating.
