Obituary

Harold Moore "Mike" Archer, 90, of Dunbar, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017, after battling COPD for several years.

He attended Dunbar High School and was a WWII military veteran. He retired from Union Carbide, South Charleston after 40 years of service and was a proud lifelong resident of Kanawha County.

Harold enjoyed fishing, woodworking and talking on his CB radio. Both he and his wife enjoyed spending time at their camp in Elizabeth on the Little Kanawha River. Harold was always one for a great story and had a wonderful sense of humor. He and Donna both will be sorely missed by those that knew and loved them.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Donna Mae Lovejoy Archer; his parents, Virgie (Moore) and Mike Archer and his siblings, Garland Archer, Ethel Stark and George Archer.

Harold is survived by nieces, nephews and their respective families.

The family would like to thank the staff at Broadmore Senior Living Center and HospiceCare for caring for Harold with such kindness and compassion in the final months of his life.

Services will be held at 2p.m. on Wednesday, December 6 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Rev. Ray Parsons officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
