Harold Ray Cole, Sr. of St. Albans passed away on May 20, 2014. He was 84 years old.
He was on January 15, 1930 in Fayette County to the late Walter and Ann Cole. In addition to his parents and eight siblings, he was preceded in death by his son, Harold Jr.
Harold was a carpenter, coal miner, an avid almanac reader, believed we are only on this earth through the grace of God and enjoyed a nice cold beer. He was a member of the Carpenter Union #128 and worked in a composite unit of the carpenters and ironworkers at the John Amos Power Plant as a foreman.
Harold leaves behind his devoted wife of 66 years, Margaret (Gundy) Cole; sons, James (Diana) Cole of Hurricane and David Cole of St Albans; daughters, Diedra (Vito) Randazzo of Illinois and Deborah (Timothy) Akers of St. Albans; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Reba McClain of Florida.
Honoring his request, Mr. Cole has been cremated.
There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 30 at Sunset Memorial Park in South Charleston with James Cole officiating.
