Harry Kenney Black's Obituary
Harry Kenney Black Sr., 90, of Institute, passed away June 13, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by love.
He was a good man, very proud person with strong character.
Harry was retired from West Virginia State University.
He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Black and Jessica Leftwich Black; son Harry Black Jr ; sisters, Constance, Geraldine, Theresa, Ruth, and Hortense; brother, Robert.
Harry is survived by his wife, Annie Jane Black (Smith); son, David Black (Brandi) of Dunbar; daughter, Denise J. Black of Institute; grandchildren; Chantel Black of Institute, Dakisha Smith (Jeffrey) of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Annette Henderson of Michigan, and Janette Henderson(Cordell) of Michigan.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Friday, June 19, at Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
Family and friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 19, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
