Obituary

Harry M. Cogan, III, 74 of Hurricane passed away after his courageous battle with cancer, February 6, 2006. His wife of fifty years, Ruth was at his side.

He was a lifelong resident of West Virginia except for his period of service in the U.S. Air Force 809th Air Police Squadron. He retired from Union Carbide with 37 years service. He was an active member of Farrar Memorial Baptist Church serving as the Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday school teacher and member of the choir.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry M. Cogan, II and Ethel Cogan Fisher and his sister, Anita Nelson.

He was loved and will be missed by many.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth; step-sister, Helen Smith; son Harry Cogan, IV and his wife, Karen, daughter, Mary Beth Beaudry and her husband Dan and daughter Laura Boone. His grandchildren, Hal, Brian and Will Cogan, Ellen and Claire Beaudry and Erin, Ryan and Kyle Boone were his greatest source of pride and joy.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 9th at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

The service will be 11 a.m., Friday, February 10th at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Rev. Joe McClung and Rev. Jack Gregory officiating. Burial will follow the service in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
