Obituary

Harry C. Foster, Sr., 91, of Dunbar, went home to be with the Lord, Monday February 22, 2016.

He was born March 27, 1924 to the late John and Bertha Foster in Charleston.

Harry was a 1942 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School. He was an Army veteran, serving during WWII with the 78th Lightning Division. He attended West Virginia University where he studied civil engineering. Harry retired from Columbia Gas and was a member of the United Disciples of Christ Church of South Charleston.

Harry enjoyed music. He played several instruments and sang in the church choir. He liked to hunt, fish, and was an avid golfer. He also loved to travel with his wife.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Walker.

Harry is survived by his wife of 67 years, Evaleigh Foster; daughters, Patricia Bailey (Michael) of Riva, MD and Janet Hill (Tom) of Winfield; son, Harry Foster, Jr. (Barbara) of Morgantown; brother, Ray Foster (Betty) of Charleston; grandchildren, Carrie Connor (Eric), Sarah Shook (Rob), Bryan Bailey (Summer), Jesse Foster, Jeremy Hill (Danielle), Johanna Foley (Casey); and six loving great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 25 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Steven Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park.

Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
