Harry H. "MAC" McBrayer Jr., 90, resident of Dunbar and former resident of Belle and Charleston, went to be with the Lord on September 24, 2024.

As a youth Mac attended Belle Elementary and Dupont Junior High School where he played in the band. He then transferred to Castle Heights Military Academy where he played football.

In 1966 Mac graduated from Morris Harvey College with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.  He retired from Occidental Chemical after 43 years where he was Lab Supervisor.  His three favorite hobbies were golf, tennis and music.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Bird Cook; stepfather, John Paul Cook; father, Harry H. McBrayer Sr.; and wife of 50 years, Jerry L. McBrayer.

Mac is survived by his son, Gary McBrayer of TX; daughters, Sherry McBrayer of WV, Debbie Williams of OH, Sandi Miles (Dana) of WV; grandchildren, Emerson McBrayer, Kelli Siracuse (Bob,) Leslie Birch (Kevin), Evan Kegley, Victoria Convest (Matt), Andrea Gates; along with five great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 6 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
