Obituary

Hattie Ingram Crowder, 89, of Charleston, died on March 23, 2006 at the home of her granddaughter in Cross Lanes, surrounded by her family.

Born on July 17, 1916 in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Amos and Charity Ingram. She was retired from the Kanawha County Board of Education and attended the Mountain Mission Church in Charleston. She was a member of the Ina Webb Travel Club.

Mrs. Crowder was preceded in death by her husband, Burl "Toddy" Crowder, her sister, Martha Crowder and her brothers, Jess and Kenna Ingram.

She is survived by her children, Robert Crowder and his wife, Marie of Dunbar, Ruth Gallimore and her husband, Johnie of Naoma, Nancy Keyser and her husband, Phillip of Daphne, AL, and Joyce Allenbaugh and her husband, Ralph of Vienna; grandchildren, Jeffrey Keyser, Cheryl Englund, Sue Acord, Annie Reynolds, Carrie Crowder and Lynn Connolly; eleven great grandchildren and three sisters, Nettie Rhodes, Lola Reese and Omie Underwood all of the Charleston area.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 27, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Dr. Boyd C. Purcell officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 26, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
