Jividen
March 25, 1920 – April 20, 2014
Hazel Madeline Tribble Jividen, 94, of Dunbar, went home to be with the Lord on April 20, 2014.
Hazel was born on March 25, 1920 to Charles Stephen Tribble and Bertha Jane (Hill). She was a graduate of Poca High School. After high school she worked at Fletcher's Enamel in Dunbar.
In 1939 Hazel married Franklin Jividen. She was a devoted wife and mother. Hazel was an excellent homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and quilting. Hazel was a Cub Scout leader and very involved in the (PTA) Parent Teacher Association. She also served on the voter election board for over twenty years.
Hazel was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Dunbar. She taught 4
th
grade Sunday School for over twenty years and also served on the deaconess board. She especially enjoyed her circle meetings.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bertha Tribble, her beloved husband Franklin L. Jividen, her sisters, Natalie Fitzsimmions and Mary Fowler, and her brother, James Tribble.
She is survived by son, Thomas Jividen and wife, Rita of Wilmington, NC; daughters, Nancy Karopchinsky and husband, Johnny, of Melbourne, FL and Libby Plumley and husband, David, of Poca; five grandchildren, Tommy Bradley of Melbourne, FL, Tom Jividen of San Francisco, CA, Jim Jividen of San Diego, CA, Anna Plumley Church and husband, Wes, of Morgantown and David Plumley II of Poca; and two great-grandchildren, Tommy and Kayla Bradley of Melbourne, FL.
The family wishes to thank those who helped to care for their loved one at Spring Arbor, Davis Health Care, and Dr. Mary Rudyk of Wilmington, NC. We also want to thank Dr. Jim Brick and Dr. John Brick of Morgantown who provided valuable advice to their aunt, Hazel, throughout her care.

Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 26 at the First Baptist Church, Dunbar with the Rev. Mark Jarrell officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
The family looks forward to celebrating Hazel's life with family and friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 25, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
