Helen Louise Smith, 70, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 6, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 18, 1946 in Charleston, to the late John and Mary Flowers.

Helen was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed by her family. She will not be forgotten.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Allen Smith; daughter, Bonnie Smith; and her brother, David Flowers.

Helen is survived by her sons, John Wesley Smith of Charleston, Richard Smith of Charleston, Brad Smith of Charleston; daughter, Lisa Cavender of Charleston; brother, Paul Flowers of Cross Lanes; sisters, Janet Flowers of Charleston, and Christine Moore (Dallas) of Cross Lanes; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 13, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Donald Jarrett officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
