Helen Frances Smith's Obituary
Helen Frances "Toncie" Smith passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the age of 89 while living at Edgewood Summit in Charleston.
She was the beloved wife of the late P. Leighton Smith of Dunbar for 61 years and was the daughter of Frank and Maude Ellis of Dunbar.
She is survived by a son, F. L. Smith and his wife, Penny, who live in Myrtle Beach, SC and a daughter, Sally Lynne and her husband, David Uhde, living in Lexington, Ky; four grandchildren, Alysia and husband, Domenic Silipo, Aaron Uhde and his wife, Amy, Adrienne and her husband, Alex Petkovsek and Andrea Uhde. She had three great grandchildren, Sebastian and Sienna Silipo and Leighton Petkovsek.
Toncie was a lifelong member of Dunbar United Methodist Church. She attended the Charleston School of Commerce and worked as a secretary at Gravely Motor Plow Co. in Dunbar.
She was placed, as she wished, beside her husband as soon as possible at the Grandview Memorial Park in Dunbar.
Donations in memory of Toncie Ellis Smith would be appreciated by Edgewood Summit, 300 Baker Lane, Charleston, WV 25302.
Arrangements were in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
