Henry E. Unrue's Obituary
Henry E. Unrue, 91, of Dunbar, passed away on June 10, 2016 at Oakridge Center.
He was called to duty his senior year of high school and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1942 to 1946. Henry retired from Union Carbide in 1984 with 38 years of service.
Above all, he was a loving husband, caretaker, father, grandfather and friend.
Henry was preceded in death by the love of his life, Mary, his wife of 62 years; his parents, Henry and Edna; and his brothers, Carl E. (Shimmy) and Roy Lee.
He is survived by his son, Terry (Connie Carrier); daughter, Brenda (Steve Laster); three grandchildren, the light in his eyes, Kina Unrue Lockwood (Andrew), Thomas (Karla) and Michael (Kasandra) Granger; six great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Robert Otey officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
