Obituary

Herbert S. Mallory, 62, of South Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Herb was preceded in death by his father, Sid Mallory and two brothers, Neale and Dennis.

Mr. Mallory is survived by his wife of 41 years, Naomi; two sons, Mark and his wife, Lori, of South Charleston and Chris at home; his loving and caring mother, Faye Mallory, devoted sister Judy Hensley and her husband, Lester of Lake Worth, Fla; his "pride & joy" grandchildren, Brittany and Nicholas; two brothers-in-law, Sid Ellis and his wife, Nancy of Virginia Beach, Va. and Bill Ellis and his wife, Sandy of Nimitz, WV; nieces and nephews and special exchange student daughter, Katrin Pestkowski. He is also survived by many friends.

Herb enjoyed various careers in his lifetime and developed many lasting friendships from FMC Ordnance Center, Pugh Furniture Co., M&H and Bilco Construction. His dream of having his own company (Banam, Inc.) was realized in 1996 with the help of many family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 21 at the Mountain Heights Church with the Rev. Tim Oakes and the Rev. Benjamin W. Pauley officiating. Burial will follow in Mallory Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, July 20, at Mountain Heights Church.

Herb will be sadly missed but fondly remembered for his loving devotion to his family and friends. A special thank you to his church family at Mountain Heights Church for all their support and prayers over all these years.
