Herbert "Sonny" Martin, Jr., 86, of Dunbar, WV entered Heaven's Gates on January 31, 2025.

He was born on August 9, 1938 in McComas, WV to the late Hubert Martin and Virginia Wade Martin.

Herbert owned Extra Brite Cleaning Service where he worked until retirement.  He liked his cowboy hats, cowboy boots, and country music, but he adored his family.

He loved telling jokes, stories, and sharing lots of love.  He never met a stranger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Martin, and his sister, Zera Maxine Martin.

Herbert is survived by his wife, Cheryl Haynes Martin; his daughters, Regina Gail Anti and Karyn Denise Martin; brothers, Kendrick Stephens of Washington, DC and William Martin (Joanna) of New Orleans; along with many nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Dr. Lloyd A. Hill and Reverend Barbara Davis officiating.
