Herbert Lee Wilkinson

Herbert Lee Wilkinson, 64, of Dunbar, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026, at home of natural causes.

Herb was a journeyman carpenter with the Local #1207, after working many years at Will-Pax with his brothers, Benny and Bill. He loved the outdoors and told many crazy tales about those various adventures. Herb was very strong, quick with his hands and was a very loving soul. He loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle, four wheeling at Bill’s cabin in Hinton, fishing and camping.

Herb enjoyed tinkering in his building and working around the house. He loved reminiscing about friends present and past, and man could he whip out a good one liner!

Herb never stopped grieving his son Jimmy Lee. His love for him is unmatched and he spoke of him often.

He is preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Lee; parents, William A. and Leoma E. Boling; brothers, Benny (Debbie) and Timmy (Karen).

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 23 years, Lisa “Lisie” Harvey Wilkinson; sister, Sandra Tinsley (Robert); brother, Bill (Karen); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you perform a random act of kindness, make someone’s day with a compliment and forgive yourself and others for the things you cannot change.
