Herman Eugene "Gene" Westfall, 59, of South Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 15, 2023.

He was born January 16, 1964 in South Charleston.

Herman was a Mama's boy, he loved his family and the outdoors. He loved fishing and camping with his family, and was big hearted and loyal to the people he loved.

He retired from the State of West Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Mynes Schultz; brother, Patrick Schultz, and Gene's companion Catherine Mason.

Herman leaves behind to cherish his memory, son, Herman E. Westfall, Jr, and wife Charline Renee Westfall; granddaughter, Alivia Michelle Westfall; grandsons, Aiden Gene and Ryan Cooper Westfall, Austin Douglas Clark; father, Dewey Eugene Schultz; sisters, Sherry R. Harrah and Terry K. Westfall; and aunts, Elaine Crockett and Virginia Janie Newhouse.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
