Ida Jane Marie McCormick Barnett, 79, of Dunbar, went home to be with the Lord, on Sunday, February 2, 2020.

She was born on October 6, 1940, in Fayetteville, to the late William and Sarah McCormick.

Ida always cared for those who couldn't care of themselves. She was the glue of her family and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Barnett Sr.; daughters, Rose Barnett, Cindy Barnett; sons, Thomas Barnett, Terry Barnett; brothers, Douglas McCormick and Shirley McCormick; and sister, Sarah Bell McCormick.

Ida is survived by her sons, Andy Barnett of Dunbar, Roy Barnett of Dunbar; grandsons, Adam Barnett of Dunbar, Shawn Barnett of Dunbar; granddaughters, Lindsey Barnett of Dunbar, Amandalee Barnett of Dunbar, and James Williams and Lee Williams of South Carolina; grand-daughters, Ramona Williams and Tiffany Williams of South Carolina; brothers, Gory McCormick of Huntington, David McCormick of St. Albans and William McCormick Jr.; and sister Mary Harper of Dunbar.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor David Keeney officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
