Irene Thornton Krise, 79, of Dunbar, went home to be with the Angels on Friday, March 2, 2007. She died of a long illness and was surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Irene was a lifelong resident of Dunbar and was preceded in death by her husband, Carl B. Krise.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Carla Thomas-Tucker of Scott Depot; two grandchildren, Shana Thomas-Holt of St. Augustine, Fla. and Brian Thomas of Mooresville, NC; one great grandchild, Madison Lynn Holt of St. Augustine, Fla. She is also survived by two sisters, Nadine Holt of St. Albans and Jane Lovejoy of Liberty; brothers, Charles Thornton and Leonard Thornton, both of Liberty.

The family wishes to thank Stacy Hissom, Charlotte Overbaugh and Dave Snoke for their gentle loving care of our loved one.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 5, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Harold B. White, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
