Iris Williams, 83, of Dunbar, passed away Friday, June 8, 2007, at Hubbard Hospice House.
She was a former employee of Gravely Tractor Co. and retired from the WV State LPN Licensing Board. Iris was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dunbar where he formerly served as a Deaconess. She was also active in the Womens' Missionary Society.
Iris was preceded in death by her husband, Oris Lee Williams and her parents, Virgil and Levi Byrnside.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her son, Danny Williams and his wife, Jackie of Winston-Salem, NC; daughter, Carolyn "Susie" Williams and her husband, Bob, of Bloomington, IL; brothers, Hobert Byrnside of Hurricane and Darrell Byrnside of Richmond, Va; sister, Iva Broyles of Winfield. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Darren Williams, Deirdre Steele, Gary Dillon and Stephany Taylor and her great grandchildren, Jordan, Andrew, Jackson, Sebastian, Jonathan, Dillon, Brittany, Jake and Lexis.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 11, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Thomas E. Stevens, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, June 10, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
