Obituary

Iva Mae Clarkson, 85, of St. Albans went to be with the Lord, Friday, September 20, 2013. She was surrounded by her family at her home.

She was the remaining on of ten children, born March 17, 1928 to the late John and Beatrice McCormick of Sumerco, WV.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Robert H. Clarkson. They were married for 60 years, and were residents of Cross Lanes for 46 years. Iva worked at Libby Owen Ford and Point Harmony School, though she spent most of her life she was happy being a homemaker. Her greatest love was family and God. She was a devoted Christian who attended Nitro Church of God. She was loved by family and all who knew her.

A special thank you to Diane, Flora, Angie, Reba, Rhonda, her great niece Corri who helped take care of her in her final years, and Jennifer who devoted so much of her life in these last few years to taking care of her grandmother. Also, thank you to all the people from Hospice. Finally, thank you to Pastor Rob VanFossen for always being there when we needed him.

Iva is survived by her daughters, Debbie Marie Blake (Larry) of Melbourne, KY, and Connie Lou Caudill (John IV) of St. Albans; grandchildren, Jonathan Blake (Karen), Jason Blake (Elana), Jennifer Loyd (Jonathan), and John Caudill V; great-grandchildren, Ryan Blake, Joshua Blake, Jonas Blake, Amaya Blake, Ashleigh Marie Edwards, and Madalynn Caudill.

Friends and family may call from 1:30 to 3 pm on Monday, September 23 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, September 23 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Dave McCormick officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Park.
