Obituary

Jack E. Legg, of South Charleston, went peacefully to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on February 20, 2017.

He was born on June 16, 1930 in Sissonville to the late Ola Withrow Legg and Milton Legg.

Jack loved to "sit and talk" with family and friends and was a very loved and respected man.

He attended Elk River Church of the Nazarene, South Hills Church of the Nazarene and most recently was a member of Charleston First Church of the Nazarene, where he served on the church board.

Jack retired from Fleshman Monument Company, where he worked for 38 years, and had also retired from the Charleston Job Corp after serving there for 15 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Paxton and his grandson, Jason Legg.

Left to cherish Jack's memory are his wife of 62 years, Lula M. Williams Legg; children, Gregory (Jody) Legg of Poca, Kathlyn Legg Jetter (Stephen) of Greenville, OH and Jeffrey (Alicia) Legg of Cross Lanes; sister, Edith Swank of Ellsworth, PA; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 24, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Randy Lanham officiating. Burial will follow in Fisher Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 23 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar
