Obituary

The Lord called an angel to come home. Jackie Lee Rardon, 58, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009.

Jackie was a very loving sister whose presence will be with us forever. Jackie Lee was a Christian of the Protestant faith and attended the Salvation Army Church in Parkersburg. She cared dearly for her family and all those of her second family.

Jackie Lee was born on September 3, 1950, in Charleston, to Edgar Rardon and the late Virginia Rardon. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by brother, Hubert E. Rardon, grandparents, Ruby and Hubert O. Rardon and Iva and Albert Fowler, her aunt and uncle, Velma Lee and Owen Pitchford.

She is survived by sisters, Billie Jean Jones of Charleston, Debra Rardon of Dunbar, Wanda Boettjer and her husband, Byron of SC; brothers, Frank Rardon, Sr. of Pocatalico and David Rardon of Charleston; two nieces, three nephews and 2 great nephews. She is also survived by her second family, Mary and Louie Janssen, their sons and families and by Sherry and Jeff DeLong and children.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 19, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Major Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

The family would like to give special thanks to her second family and caregivers, Mary and Louie Janssen and to Sherry and Jeff DeLong. Thank you so much for all the love and special care you gave to Jackie Lee.
