Obituary

Heaven gained another angel Friday, June 19, 2015 when Jim, 64, lost his battle with cancer.

He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. Jim will be remembered for managing Roll Arena and then Derrick's Roll Arena Skating Rink for more than 25 years. He mentored and coached kids in hockey and baseball in the surrounding area for more than 25 years.

Jim loved to shoot bows competitively and hunt. He was also a member of the Mathews Pro Shooting Staff and traveled all over the United States winning lots of trophies and plaques for archery.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Henry and Kathleen Booth; and brother, Donald "Eugene" Booth.

Jim is survived by his wife, Debbie; sons, Craig (Marla) and Chris (Melissa); and daughter, J-me. He was Poppy to Kelsey, Kaley, JaLen, and Emily; and Great-Poppy to Brycen, they were truly the lights of his life. Also surviving are brothers, Dennie (Martha) and Larry (Billie Jo); and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at held 2 p.m. Friday, June 26, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Rochie Stricklen and Pastor Melvin Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
